Held in between

It wasn’t a bright day.

The sky was covered, soft and gray, with clouds that didn’t seem to be going anywhere. The palm trees stood still against it, not reaching, not bending… just there.

There was no dramatic light.
No clear moment to capture.

And still, I stopped. I think I’ve spent a lot of time waiting for things to feel more obvious.
Clear skies. Better timing. A reason that makes sense. But this moment didn’t offer any of that.

It just… was. Maybe that’s why it stayed with me.

Just the sky, a little heavy.
The trees, still rooted.

And me, standing in between it all—not needing to make it mean more than it did.

Just taking a moment to let it sink in.

11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
